Big doings in the IFL, boys. A hot dumpster fire in our game of the week, and a league new scoring leader.
Our game of the week was a hot dumpster fire if Ewoldt's team was in the dumpster, and Drew was lighting the fire. Drew's team went of thanks to a 36 point performance from Melvin Gordon, a 28 point performance from LARRY, and a 33 point performance from the Ravens DEF. When you score basically 100 points with 3 players, the rest of your players can take simultaneous dumps on the field and retire mid-game, cause it's pretty much over. Ewoldt's lame 98.84 points was nowhere near enough to keep up with Drew's 169.16 points, the highest point total by any team this season. Drew moves to 4-2 in style, the only team to have the record in the league, and still one game behind Nelson in the BSC and Ewoldt falls to 3-3, giving up full control of X-IA.
Hunt does not mishandle Ewoldt's utter pounding, as the Scallon Express put up a formidable 133.72 points this week, Hunt was able to keep up with 30 pts from Antonio Brown and eventually rally in Sunday Night Football, with a combined 51.54 points from his 40% Broncos roster. Hunt would win 141.76 - 133.72, and tie Ewoldt in X-IA at 3-3.
There's always something special about a game decided in Monday Night Football. The 1323 Scenic View Drive Trophy Game was no exception. Curtis got off to a solid start Thursday thanks to a 16 point game from Zach Ertz. Nick kept it close with 48 combined points from Gronk and Marvin Jones, and had a chance in MNF, but Ryan Succop decided to kick 5 field goals against the Colts, and his 18 point game, kept the Upper Decker at arm's length. Curtis ties up the series 3-3, and will take the 1323 Scenic View Drive Trophy home with him until next year.
Poor, poor TC. The dude has to play the team that in this very game becomes IFL's new scoring leader. Despite a season high 127.1 point game from Dirty Mike and the Boys, Jack puts up a season high of his own, 155.42 points. 30 points from Ingram, 28 from Bell, and 27 from the Rams DEF. The Bellhops are on fire, and after putting up 3 straight 150+ games, are the league's highest scoring team with 129.5 PPG. WOW, WOW, WOW. These guys will put up with your lack of tipping no more.
Besides X-IA, all other division leaders remain unchanged. Looking ahead to Week 7's schedule, that might change.
The Boy Scout Cyclones go ham this week, but so does the Cul-de-Sack, which separates the Top 2 from the Bottom 2. X-IA remains 25 games back from Dirty Doc and the Boys.
Division Overall W-L:
CdS: 210-150
BSC: 189-171
DD&B: 173-187
X-IA: 148-212
Props to Curtis for a perfect week in Pick 'Em. 👏 That is a feat that has not been pulled off since week 1. He has gone 7 for 8 in the last two weeks, and now holds a 2 point lead over 2nd place. Probably didn't hurt that he was in two of this week's polls, voted for himself, and his team delivered. Go big or go Mexi Turbo, which is even bigger than you thought possible.
Let's get it in week 7.
