Though all the pick ‘em games turned out to be blowouts; Drew’s (F) Shak walloping Qualley 134-112, the Hype Zone deflating predictably early in Week 2, and getting the ALL-TIME D from Brady 129-99, and the Jack taking the hardest beating of the three, as Jord laid it on him, 126-80, the week was not without intrigue.

Nick and Hunt were both down 14 in their respective games and luckily for them, the Packer were on a mission to prove they don’t actually suck. Nick got a $7 performance out of the deal, as Aaron Jones easily crossed the 14 pt threshold, 3 times over in fact, he needed to come back against Austin’s Snyder Cut, winning 119-92. Though Austin falls to 0-2, for some reason I’m not worried. He has me convinced that this is still part of the plan.

Things were a bit more down to the wire for Hunt, as Tonyan didn’t really start scoring to the 2nd half, but a touchdown and a late catch gave Hunt the edge, coming back against Jesse’s Recker Rampage and winning 126-125. This is truly significant for Hunt, as its the first time he hasn’t gone 0-2 since 2017.

Two week into the season, though, the biggest story is Curtis and his team. Posting the 2nd most points last week, and the most this week by a 44 point margin, the Outlaw Soldier is trying to prove something clearly. TC, who actually scored the 4th most points in the league this week, was the beneficiary of this nut-kicking, which send TC to a tough 0-2 start. Curtis moves to 2-0, and despite his lack of success in the post-season, you should know, Curtis has actually started off 2-0 in 4 of the last 5 seasons, and is still the 4th winningest coach in the IFL all-time. That said, he’s never started off 2-0 and had the points to back it up. Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, and Gronk combined for 104 points this week, which would have been good to enough to beat 3 teams in the IFL this week.

It’s early, obviously, but I not want to be Hunt heading into Week 3.

The BSC hold their lead as top division with big games from Drew and John. Curtis is single handedly pulling the CdS into 2nd place.

The MNQ trips all the pickers up for the 2nd week straight, but still sitting atop the heap, your boy Curtis.
