Highest Scoring Player ($7)
Des Moines Football Team
Coach Qualley
Justin Jefferson - 36.3 pts
(Austin’s Justin Fields had 39.4 pts and CeeDee Lamb had 38.3 pts, which is the first time I can remember a team having the #1 and #2 scoring players in a week, but alas you can’t win both awards.)

As the Legend of Kirk continues to grow, somehow he also consumes the soul and MVP chances of one Josh Allen, who looked like rookie year Josh at the end of Sunday’s game against the Vikings. Nobody’s quite sure why exactly the Vikings are good, but the more chains Kirk wears, the clearer the picture becomes.

The Vikings-Bills game will go down as one the greatest games ever played, and off the heels of that excitement, we had two last second finishes in the IFL last night.

Our Game of the Week was a tight one the whole way through, and last night it came down to Jesse’s Dallas Goedert and Curtis’s Curtis Samuel. Jesse had something like a 65% chance of winning going into it and led pretty much the whole night with an early touchdown catch by Goedert, but on the Eagles’s last drive Goedert would fumble, and leave IFL’s 3-Peat Pick ‘Em up 1.6 points until the clock struck 00:00. The loss for Jesse is a tough one, as he now falls to 3-7, now 3 games back in his division with just 4 weeks to go on the season. For Curtis, it’s a major win, as he reclaims sole share of the CdS divisional lead.

Elsewhere, Hunt would complete the comeback against TC, thanks to a cool 22 points from Jalen Hurts last night, winning 123-121. This snapped Hunt’s five-game losing streak, and gets him back to .500 and maintaining a one game back distance from Ewoldt, who would defeat Nick 86-72 this week. Hunt also did the Papa Jord division a favor, as he holds TC to just a single game lead in his division, keeping Qualley, Austin and Jord all still in play.

Speaking of Austin, can you say JUSTIN FIELDS? Holy smokes. I have never seen the soul of team change so quickly. The guy went out and spent $37 FAAB on Fields after his 28 point performance in Week 8, an amount that seemed too much, but now after 87.6 total points the last two weeks, it appears to be the deal of the year, as the guy could be a league winner. Whether Rodger’s LSDream Team does rebrand to Justin Fields Drug Free Dream Team or Justin Field of Dreams, it’s clear who’s now captaining this ship. The latest Fields 40-bomb led Austin to the highest score of the week, 163 points, which he needed facing the Scallon Express’s 139 points this week. Austin’s won four straight games now, and is the 3rd highest scoring team over the last four weeks. He climbs into just a game back in Papa Jord’s.

Perhaps drafting off of his brother’s emergence, Papa Jord himself finally put his team back in the win column, beating Brady 128-82. This was his highest score since week 2, and one he desperately needed to keep the ASSassins in playoff contention. 🌞

The BSC and PJ separate themselves a bit from CdS and X-IA with just four weeks to go in the regular season.

The toughest week for Pick ‘Em this season yields little change.
