The next time an IFL team will have the opportunity to attempt a 9-0 start, a new president will be elected. Without Conner in at RB, Jesse’s squad just didn’t have the same spike, and loses 111-125 to the desperate Coach Brady, ending his historic run and, much like a hair gel eventually solidifies, freezes his streak at 8 wins. This means he will remain tied with Tony’s 2015 8-0 start, and Tony will still get to hold on to that. Jesse falls to 8-1, but has already clinched his division and is still two games up on any team challenging his first-round bye stake. Brady moves to 3-6 and stays alive for the wild card race, though the odds are steep, but also finally takes the $20 bounty away from Jesse and will look to hold onto it against Jord next week.

Had a bit of a Freaky Friday situation in the league on this Halloween weekend, as the Dirty Doc and the Boys had their worst week of the season with no teams in the top 5 in scoring, and the Cul-de-Sack had their best week of the season and had two teams place in the top 5 in scoring. Joe coached one of those teams, and his squad of Dak, Montgomery, Preston Williams, and the legendary Butker helped Big Brett’s Big Year put up 150, completely dominating the Hufflepuff Badgers, who mustered a season low 91 points. The other team, Hunt’s Promise Land, put up a league high this week, 160 points, which is the first time a CdS team has been atop the scoring all season, and only the 2nd time Curtis has scored more than 110 points this season. It came with a crucial division win over the Bucknaked Bradys to boot, which keeps Curtis alive for the division still, even at 2-7, after Nick got completely overwhelmed in his matchup against Drew, losing by more than double, 74-157.

In addition to Drew’s win, John, Aaron, and Hunt all got wins as well, making the Boy Scout Cyclones undefeated this week. Aaron’s defense held Papa Jord to a season low 80 points, Hunt bested TC 154-119, and the Scallon Express turned what looked like an opportunity for Anton to get an upset into an unexpected blowout, 153-109, thanks to another devastating performance from CMC, and a breakout game from Noah Fant. Thus the BSC remains insanely tight:

The loss for Anton means that he is officially our first coach to be eliminated from playoff contention. RIP. Your performance was something that I’m not entirely sure the C-Team would be proud of, but they would at least understand it. ⚰️⚰️⚰️

Dirty Doc & the Boys have their worst week of the season, the Boys Scout Cyclones don’t and overtake the lead for best division. The Cul-de-Sack has their best week of the season and closes the gap on X-IA.

Division Overall W-L:
BSC: 317-223
DD&B: 310-230
X-IA: 235-305
CdS: 218-322

The two bucks sitting atop Pick ‘Em, Curtis & Nick, have a perfect week, and extend the gap between the rest of us.

The stakes get ramped up in Week 10, with four teams facing elimination. Godspeed men.
