They say time is a flat circle. Know your history, or be doomed to repeat it. The first ever IFL Champion, the OG, Nick has arrived with that team again. 205.6 points in week 1, and an IFL record 239.9 points in Week 2.

Now, of course, our statistics are skewed with the addition of IDP players, so we’re going to have to come up with an adjustment to compare it to old scores in order to find out just how impressive 239.9 points really is. To start with, we’ll subtract his IDP player scores, which adjusts his score down to 182.9 points. Then, we’ll add the average points per game of the offensive flex spot we removed, which is 10.2 PPG, giving him an adjusted score of 193.1 points, and making his score the 6th highest in IFL history by that calculation. Still impressive, but kind of scary, to think there’s still room for improvement. 😬

A record nonetheless, for the new system, and the victim of this historic beating was Joe, whose 162 points weren’t up to the task. Nick moves to 2-0, and Joe to 1-1.

In our Game of the Week, the Pop Punk Pirates tear a sail, no thanks to their floundering QB DJ, and the unfortunate last second “out” status of James White. Aaron’s Lamar Jackson, Hunt, OBJ & Diggs are going to be formidable all season, he wins 166-145.

Big Brother Austin gets his first win in the IFL, sending the Scallon Express to 0-2, 187-162. Congrats! With Goff & Kupp, as good as the Rams offense has looked through two weeks, Austin could definitely ball out this season.

Qualley gets his first loss in the IFL, a bit of a humbling with less than 20 combined points from the WR to DEF portion of his roster. The loss comes courtesy my boy Ewoldt, who privately told me “defense might be the key”. Is he on to something? Nick has the most IDP points through two weeks. Ewoldt has the 4th most. Both are 2-0. I don’t know. You do the math.

The other 2-0 teams? The Outlaw Soldier and Barium Bunch. Curtis showed some disrespect to the professor this week from the other side of the world, 168-149, and the Barium Bunch sent Drew to 0-2, 175-162. Which is the only reason I’m not contemplating my own end.

Cul-de-Sack has another monster week, thanks to Nick and Curtis. Austin course corrects DD&B to 3rd place with the 2nd most points in the league.

Division Overall W-L:
CdS: 80-40
X-IA: 61-59
DD&B: 51-69
BSC: 48-72

Jack goes 4 for 4 this in Pick ‘Em this week, in what was pretty tough sledding for the consensus, joining Jord at a tie for the lead. Brady uncharacteristically cracks the top 5.
