A low-scoring week for our quarterfinalist matchups this week, but largely as expected, with the favorites winning by 10+. Kirk Cousins first playoff appearance was likely a bit disappointing for Coach Jesse, with 3 players scoring 2 or less points, despite decent effort from his remaining layers. Curtis just did a little better with his bottom three scorers and that was the difference, winning 121-109. Jesse will hope to build off his playoff experience for next year. The IFL STARS get their 2nd playoff victory ever, and will now move on to play the #1 seed, Slick Rick’s Firepoles.
The Hype Zone also picks up their 2nd playoff win ever, as expected, however with Trubisky taking a dump Sunday night, it was a lot more precarious of a victory than predicted; however Cousins couldn’t get anything going against the Seahawks last night, and Hype Zone prevailed 121-110. Hype will go on to face #2 Momma Cat, the highest flying team in the league. With Jack losing also means that all former champs are now eliminated from championship contention, and we will therefore have our 5th unique champion in 5 years, which is pretty awesome, and is yet a further testament to the competitiveness of this league.
