Week 4 of 2021 will stand as one the most heart wrenching weeks in IFL history with several back and forth sagas.

We had a real Friday Night Lights situation with poor Coach Jesse and the Recker Rampage, who started off Monday Night down 34 points to Joe and Brady’s Boat Bucks and whose case looked almost hopeless after a scoreless half by the Raiders. A couple of 2nd half touchdowns by Renfrow and Waller pulled Jesse within 5 points, but the Chargers were able to put a lid on the Raiders comeback and Jesse fell just inches short, losing 108-111. Both teams move to 2-2.

Hype Zone and the Des Moines Football Team’s matchup was truly wild, as it was like watching a man getting three vesectomies, after Qualley started off Sunday with a 95% chance of winning thanks to some early 20+ point games from Zeke, Cordarrell Patterson, and Bills DST, but Ewoldt’s Tyreek Hill just would NOT stop scoring, posting a $7, 48 point performance. This completely reversed Qualley’s odds, with Hype Zone then projected to win. But a disappointing game from Godwin in SNF kept things interesting, as Hype Zone remained down 15 points, and would then rely on Kenyan Drake to get things done for him last night. Kenyan’s potential; however, tanked after Josh Jacobs was declared active, and Kenyan would get just a single touch for two yards, and Qualley would hold onto his win 157-141, and get back to .500, with Ewoldt sliding to 1-3. Qualley’s fortunes have done an absolute 180, starting off the season with an overall W-L of 2-28, he has now gone 24-6, and makes him a tough draw for any team moving forward.

TC was another on the receiving end of a heart wrencher, though in his case, Jord’s team was always projected to win, as they came out firing on all cylinders, with Darnold, Montgomery, Barkley and Davis all putting up 20+ early, and the #2 power-ranked Real Slim Brady put up a league-high 165 points this week to TC’s 158 points, which was 2nd most in the league this week. TC, who slides to 1-3 this season, is averaging 3rd most PPG in the league, and will surely turn around his record if he maintains that kind of output, despite his being power-ranked 15th at the moment. The Real Slim Brady, is looking RED HOT, at 3-1 and averaging 2nd most in the league this season, but will have to deal with a tough 4-5 week injury to David Montgomery.

X-Iowa and Dirty Doc and the Boys both have great weeks and close the gap between top 2 / bottom 2.

Drew and Qualley are the only pickers this week to even get 3 out 4 right, and Drew extends his lead by 2 picks over the next human, Jesse, who climbs to 2nd.

Some bigtime matchups looking ahead at Week 5, which will pull us a 1/3 of the way through the regular season already. Let’s go!!!!!!!
