I know been saying it’s going to be Jesse’s year for about 3 years now, but we’re officially living it now. Making the playoffs for the first time in his coaching career last season, he’s taking it to another level this year. Nevermind the fact that he’s had the easiest schedule in the league through 8 weeks, he’s the most consistent team averaging more than 125 PPG in the league, and that means WINS. After besting Aaron this week 138-131, he has now won 8 straight, and that puts him in the annals of IFL history, tying Tony’s 2015 8-0 start. Not only that, but with 5 weeks left in the regular season, and up 6 games in his division, he also clinched his first ever X-Iowa division championship, and a role in the playoffs. He’ll look to make it pickup a 9th straight victory against Brady next week, and look to secure a first-round bye in the playoffs to finish out the season.

Our game of the week proved to be a “high scoring and neck and neck affair” as predicted, the two DD&B foes TC & the Doc combining for nearly 290 points, with the Hufflepuff Badgers prevailing 151-138 in the end thanks to 94 points from Watson, Cook, and Murray. With Jord walloping Brat10 149-95, that means Papa Jord & the Badgers remain atop the division at 6-2, and TC falls a game back.

With Aaron losing to Jesse, it opened the door, and and the Boy Scout Cyclones took full advantage. Brett’s Regrets took the most advantage posting a league high 169 points, demoralizing the Hype Zone. Hunt clobbered fellow Broncos fanboy Curtis 139-103, and Scallon squeaked one out over Brady 107-101, which means Aaron, Drew, and Scallon are all tied at 5-3 in the BSC with Hunt one game back at 4-4.

The Cul-de-Sack got slightly more interesting moving forward as the Bucknaked Bradys got a clutch win over division leader Nick 117-103, and Big Brett’s Big Year also picked up a win, which means the Rhodes bros are both two games back in that division now, and with Nick drawing a tough matchup against Drew this week, they’ll need to take advantage this week.

The DD&B & BSC have yet another great week. It’s a race for 1st between them, and a race for 3rd between X-IA & CdS.

Division Overall W-L:
DD&B: 294-186
BSC: 273-207
X-IA: 209-271
CdS: 184-296

A rough week for the pickers. The consensus goes 0-fer, as does the man on top the mountain, Curtis. The highest percentage in pick ‘em for a season ever, which was set by Curtis, is 65%, so he was bound to come down to earth at some point.
