Finally, a boring Game of the Week. You guys are killing me with all this drama. The Bows n’ Hoes, as the Pickers predicted (12 out of 15), easily handled division rival Barry Manilow’s Big Finishers, who did not have a big finish of any sort. Playing the Bows n’ Hoes is like trying to stand in the way of a steamroller, while the driver is flinging arrows at you. And the driver is a promiscuous woman to boot.

Worst of all, Jord’s boys are on track to set IFL scoring records with CJ Beathard currently at the helm. That’d be like if CJ Beathard was QB for the Rams right now. No offense, CJ, you’re my boy and all but you’re not exactly a franchise QB.

Beside the lackluster GotW, and blowouts around most of the league, that isn’t to say there wasn’t any drama. Jesse achieved what I believe to be the first successful Monday Night comeback this year over TC, thanks to this little 30-yard number with 8 minutes to go in the 4th quarter:

Jesse pulls off the comeback 107-106. This was a clutch win for a number of reasons, because with the Hype Zone getting creamed and upset by Burt Macklin Ninja in Training 168-127, Kirk’s Cousins tie the Hype Zone at 5-2 in the division. But also, with Joe losing this week to Duncan 102-125, this means that Jesse also now leads the wildcard race, along with Jack. And he now holds the tiebreaker over TC, a major wildcard contender. His newfound positiion will be put the test in Week 8; however, as he is playing none other than, Bows n’ Hoes. What a treat.

We had Tony narrowly missing the lowest score in IFL history by just 5 points. Luckily for him, Uzomah caught 2 catches and one of them was a TD in the Sunday night game.

Oh and I almost forgot, Curtis finally breaks the Bounty curse and does so in stunning fashion, with 171 points, a $15 performance, winning by almost 70 😱 over Brady. Bravo.

Another interesting phenomenon this week? Teams with a losing record went 4-2. Last week, we a had a winless team and three 1-win teams. Now we have no winless and just a single 1-win team. Brat10, Chris, John, and Aaron collectively woke up and appear to want to avoid coming in last.

Or who knows. Maybe even they try to make the playoffs. 6 weeks left. Crazier things have happened in the IFL.

The BSC has its first big week as a division, going 4-0, and signals a comeback.

Division Overall W-L:
DD&B: 264-156
X-IA: 208-212
CdS: 197-223
BSC: 171-249

4 of us started out 3 for 3 on Pick ‘Em this week, but the MNQ slipped up most, and only Anton had the foresight. Congrats on a perfect week, my man.

It’s high noon.
