There it is, boys! The fifth regular season of the IFL comes to a close in our most competitive year yet (only a two game spread between top seed and the 6th seed), as well as the highest scoring year ever, at 125 PPG, 11 more PPG than last year and 4 more PPG than the previous high.
Riding the wave of offensive explosiveness this year, Jordan and the Momma Cat finish the regular season with a win over Duncan, 165-100, scoring the most points this week, and earning a 156.2 PPG average for the season. The previous record team, the 2015 Tatooine Sith Lords, at 145.4 PPG, if adjusted for the higher league average the league’s higher overall PPG, would still be 7 PPG less than Jord’s historic team. With 3 Top 20 RBs, 3 Top 15 WRs, the #4 TE, and of course the top RB & top WR is how you get there. And not that he needed it, but he managed all that while also not having a QB in the top 25 in scoring?! With the win over Duncan, he earns the #2 seed, and a first round bye in the playoffs.
The #1 seed, Slick Rick’s Firepoles was earned by Drew with an easy victory over Threat Level Midnight 133-93, and he’ll enjoy his own first round bye. Anton’s 6th straight loss earns him the worst record in the league at 3-10 and he’ll now attempt to win one of his next 2 games in the Tournament to Not Be Last. Drew wins $20 for winning the Bounty Brawl Finale. Here’s the chain that Bounty traveled this season: Chris > TC > Brady > Nick > Curtis (2x) > Scallon > Brady > Drew (4x).
Despite starting an inactive player with his playoff hopes on the line, Jack eeked out a victory over the Scallon Express 81-77, and became the first DD&B team ever to grab a wildcard spot. Props.
In the X-IA Championship, where both teams had already clinched the playoffs, the Hype Zone showed up, and Kirk’s Cousins didn’t, a 159-103 blowout. Hype Zone wins his 2nd ever division title and the 3rd seed, and Kirk’s Cousins take the top wild card with the 5th seed, their first playoff berth ever.
In the Cul-de-Sack Championship, it was win or go home for the Stranger Bros and they went home, losing 106-138, to Curtis and the IFL STARS, who win their first ever CdS Division Title. Congrats, bro! This is Curtis’s 3rd playoff appearance in 3 years. With the loss, Joe will be sent to the consolations, where he will have a first round bye.
Taking the other bye in the consolations, TC “The Trash Man”, lost this week, just missing the championship playoffs, after starting off the season 4-1, he finished out 3-5. A disappointing end, but a massive improvement over his 2-11 season last year. A win in the consolations, of course, means #1 draft odds, which could be the new meta, with Jordan taking that honor last year and leveraging it into the #1 draft position this season.
The playoffs are here and things are about to get hype. Game previews and pick em games to come tomorrow.

(1) Scallon Express (4-9) vs (4) Threat Level Midnight (3-10)
(2) The Malpractice, Ft. Ivey (4-9) vs (3) Mr Ziemann w/69 Kush Eunuchs (4-9)
Here are our four finalist four the absolute bottom of the barrel. Scallon, Tony, Brady, and Aaron. I would’t mind seeing a sexy calendar from any of them. Maybe not Aaron though, he’s got too many abs for my liking. Here’s all the possibilities:
No surprise here, but the DD&B finishes the regular season as the top division for the first time in its 4 year existence, and does so with the best overall W-L record in IFL history, and two playoff teams. Heck of a season for Dirty Doc & the Boys.
Division Overall W-L:
DD&B: 457-323
CdS: 386-394
X-IA: 382-398
BSC: 335-445
Nick pulls off the most insane week in Pick ‘Em history, not only going perfect, but also managing to get the 6 game parlay correct, which propelled him to 12 total points for the #1 rank for the season, 1 point ahead of Commish. Lot of bonus points coming with playoffs here so who knows what will happen next.
Let’s play and get off together.
