Well, might as well throw this sentiment away:

Often times, the IFL official “Game of the Week” is a blowout, and doesn’t live up the hype or other games become more exciting, and steal the spotlight -Commish (last week’s recap)

RIP Commish. ⚰️⚰️⚰️

In back to back weeks, the Game of the Week has lived up to the hype, and this week, so too did “The Hype.” Led by Saquon “Better than Gurley” Barkley, and 6 other 15+ point performances, the Hype Zone, took an early lead on Slick Rick’s Firepoles, and things were looking good, but Drew’s boys didn’t give up, and a 30-deuce from Wintston and Conner led to Drew overtaking the lead, and finishing the afternoon slot up 5.5 with a favorable Kelce vs Brady matchup to clinch it. But Kelce put up his lowest score in 5 games, and after some late TB12 heroics, including this:

Which is the most athletic Tom Brady has ever looked, Hype somehow ended up on top, 152-148. A huge win to stay on top of a division that is hot on his heels. Jesse and Kirk’s Cousins remain one game back in X-IA after sending Nelson to 0-6, in a 135-125 victory. Despite falling in the power rankings, Jesse’s boys remain the 4th highest scoring team in the league. Two games back, Threat Level Midnight hung on to their early lead (all players done in the early slots) over the Scallon Express 120-111 to remain in the hunt.

Drew falls to 4-2, but in a twist of fate for him, the BSC continues to blow it. 0-4 for the division this week. Scallon and Nelson we discussed, but Duncan and Hooked on a Thielen also faltered, losing to the Children of Jackos 92-119. On the bright side for division, Nelson scored a season high despite the loss. With Drew most likely going to get another loss this week to the Commish’, someone in the BSC needs to step up.

In the big Dirty Doc n’ the Boys matchup this week, TC crapped the bed, with two gooseggs (if we round down) and five other players scoring less than 8 points, a Barry Manilow’s Big Finishers’ team at 90%, after starting a player on IR, won easily, 137-90. This gives Jack free reign of the DD&B for the first time this season.

Coming for him? The hottest team in the league.

B O W S N’ H O E S.

Jord’s team is averaging 152 PPG, 163 PPG over the last 4 weeks, and just scored the most points any team has scored all season, destroying a respectable output from Brat10 this week, 179-144. Heeding the callout from Big Brett, Jord doubled his WR production from last week, after receiving Thielen in a big trade with Chris, and was rewarded for sticking with Crosby as were the Packers, going from 3 to 17 points from last week to this.

And guess who plays in Week 7? Jack vs. Jord. What timing.

The IFL STARs, with a huge week from Tyreek and Mahomes, continue to defy all expertise, winning 167-111 over Nick, and move to 5-1. Nick falls to 2-4, 3 games back in the CdS. One game back in the CdS, Joe remains so, backing down on his threat to bench his whole team, the Stranger Bros easily defeat Brady 123-98.

Some hot matchups in Week 7. Can’t wait.

Another pretty even-keeled week in the division standings. BSC continues to struggle.

Division Overall W-L:
DD&B: 225-135
X-IA: 190-170
CdS: 173-187
BSC: 132-228

Ewoldt, Brat10 and Joe go 3 for 3 on Pick ‘Em games, but miss the MNQ, allowing the Commish’ to match their week.

Go get ‘em, boys.
