It’s something that happens 50% of the time. Not special.
And his win over the Hype Zone this week, 148-116 was utterly boring too. Sure, it’s the 2nd time he’s won $15 for scoring most points in the league this season, but 148 points is the lowest total to win that award this season BY FAR. Just not special at all.
You know what is special? A team with a lot of HEART. Like Jord’s The Real Slim Brady. Playing with two ghosts at RB, and Taylor Heinicke at QB did not stop them the rest of his team from picking up the slack, a total of 47 points from his two TEs led him to 121 points this week, and was JUST able to stave off Brady and ALL-TIME D whose 118 points, weren’t enough to avoid his 1-5 start. That’s just all heart from Papa Rich. ❤️
Or take his brother Austin, who is power ranked LAST going into this week’s matchup with #2 power ranked Joe and Brady’s Boat Bucks, who had won 3 straight and were just running teams. Despite a gooseegg from Jack Doyle and a near goose from Gainwell; Henderson, Gesicki, and the Rams DEF stepped up, and got the Snyder Cut their 2nd win of the season, and back to back. All part of Austin’s carefully orchestrated character arch for his career. And believe it or not, at 2-4 on the season, Austin is tied for the divisional lead in X-IA with Jesse and Ewoldt.
Or what about THE GROOVERS? Hunt’s teams have been bad for a long time. Like starting to develop a Lions reputation bad. But despite starting the season power ranked 11th, Hunt has now won five straight games, easily defeating Jack this week, 141-112. I mean, you wanna talk about a guy that won’t quit. Talk about a guy that willingly, repeatedly and proudly takes dumps in buckets, and you’re talking about Coach Hunt. Lot of heart and a lot of bowels.
X-IA bombs this week, allowing Boy Scout Cyclones to slide back to 2nd. Cul-de-Sack adds to their lead atop the heap.
Jesse has the first perfect pick ‘em week of the season, while Drew goes just 1 for 4, pulling himself into a tie for the season, a half point behind the pickers’ consensus.
