So check this out:
Aaron, Hunt and John started off the season 1-8 collectively last season through the first three weeks. Aaron and John would go on to nearly win their divisions (only losing due to tiebreakers), but not the start they would have hoped for.
This season those same teams are a collective 7-2. This is also the best start each of their respective teams has ever had. Not only that, but each team is in the Top 4 in scoring and consistency for teams that average more than 115 PPG. I can't wait to see where they head next.
Aaron beat the consensus in our Game of the Week poll, upsetting the #3 ranked Free Prison Mike, despite leaving a league-high 43.5 points on the bench. Mr. Ziemann w/69 Kush Eunuchs got remarkably consistent performance across the board, while Drew's boys had four players with less than 5 points. His team seemed to be deflated by the -7 points (adjusted) his Ravens started off with in the early London game.
Duncan showed TC that even an 0-2 team in the IFL is no easy task, handling Dirty Mike and the Boys, 133.62 - 109.40. Duncan had three players put up 25+, Brady, Cook and Baldwin. TC couldn't keep up, lacking heavily in the RB department this week.
Despite getting two goose-eggs, Jack and the Bellhops were able to ward off and eliminate one of the two remaining undefeated squads. Freshly married, Curtis, most likely had better things on his mind, but who saw the Raiders getting trounced by the Redskins coming? With Carr and Lynch combining for 9 points, the Mexi Turbo got wedding present from the IFL this week. Jack's Le'Veon put up 22, and led the Bellhops to a 2-1 start.
We witnessed a massive upset this week, courtesy those those pesky nut grabbers, who welcomed the return of their captain OBJ, whose 29 point game led Joe's #14 power ranked boys to a 148.16 - 123.92 routing of the #1 power ranked Birds of War. Richards was sitting pretty after a 37.9 player-of-the-week performance from Gurley, but the 9 Year Olds were there stride for stride with Hyde, Fournette, and Matthews, as well as 28.5 combined points from the double TE set they deployed this week. Hats off to Week 3's highest scoring team.
The intrigue is higher than ever. We're on another level.
The CdS goes 3-1 this week, as they and the BSC make their move to separate themselves.
Division Overall W-L:
BSC: 103-77
CdS: 101-79
X-IA: 85-95
DD&B: 78-102
The average picker got only 1.3 picks right this week, which allowed for some big movers, namely Nick and Aaron, who went 3 for 4, and move into 2nd place. Jesse remains atop the pile. Anton sneaks back into league with the savant Larry Fitzgerald pick in the Monday Night Question. Props.
I can't get enough of this.
